Butterfly Project

Dusk

The dusk flew in on the wings of the evening.....
From whom do you bing me a greeting?
Will you kiss my lips for him?
How I long for the place where I was born!

Perhaps only you, tranquil dusk,
Know of the years shed in your lap
From eyes that long to see
The shade of palms and olive trees In the land of Israel

 Perhaps only you will understand
 This daughter of Zion,
 Who weeps
For her small city on the Elbe
but is afraid ever to return to it.

  1. This butterfly is good, but for another poem. Some tags relate to the poem, but others don't really have to do with it. You said the red represented blood and death, but neither blood nor death were really mentioned in the poem. The pictures are good for The Holocaust in general, but this poem wasn't really about the suffering of the Jews. It was more about a girl who misses her home, and how she wishes she could be at her birthplace, yet is afraid to try and return. Besides that, there were a few spelling and capitalization mistakes. Including more sections on the butterfly about the author's home would have really helped.

  3. Your butterfly turned out great joesph ! I liked how you made the body party sort of 3D . I also liked how you added pictures to give your project more of an idea of what it was about . You did have one error which was your poem relating to your project . As I was reading your poem it didn't seem to match the images and drawings you put on your butterfly project .

Your off to a great start though , Keep up the great work !

  4. I must admit you have a very nice butterfly. I like the pictures and colors you chose for it. It matches with your poem in some ways, one thing I did notice though is that even though the poem matches with certain things of the butterfly it doesn't really match all. I don't know if that was your idea was to include your own thought into it. Either way the butterfly still is very stunning. Great Job!

  5. Good job Joey! I really like how you designed your butterfly. My favorite part about your butterfly is how you drew the little butterfly in the middle to symbolize hope. One error you made is that some tags really relate to the poem because some of the pictures you had didn't match up with the poem. But otherwise good job.
